The Penn State Alumni Association

What’s been happening:

I graduated from Penn State in 1972 with an associate degree in Chemical Engineering. I then worked for Campbell Soup Company until 1977 at which time I returned to Penn State to pursue a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering. I graduated with a BSEE in 1981 and began working for Progress Energy (previously Carolina Power & Light Company) in Raleigh, NC. I've now been with Progress Energy for over 28 years and have spent my entire career in nuclear power. I currently work at the Harris Nuclear Plant near Raleigh, NC as a Lead Engineer. My wife of 40 years, Janis, is an RN at Wake Med. Cary. Our son Jeremy is 36 years old and works for the City of Raleigh. Our daughter Julie is 28 years old and is an engineer with Weir Valves and Controls in Washington, NC. Julie has a 4 year old son Eli (our only grandchild). Janis and I return to State College every October for homecoming. We enjoy visiting Meyers Dairy the Creamery and the Tavern. We also enjoy catching the Penn State Icers if they are playing at home during homecoming weekend. We keep up with all the football games by attending game day parties at O'Mulligans in Morrisville, NC with the local Triangle Chapter of the alumni association.
